Saqqara es un sitio arqueológico en Giza, Egipto septentrional, ubicado a unos 30 kilómetros al sur del Cairo. Alberga la Pirámide Escalonada de Djoser, una de las estructuras de piedra más antiguas de Egipto de la tercera dinastía, y contiene numerosos templos, tumbas y mastabas que abarcan tres milenios. Saqqara is a UNESCO World Heritage Site located on the western edge of the Nile Valley approximately 30 kilometers south of Cairo, Egypt. It served as the primary royal necropolis during Egypt's Early Dynastic Period and Old Kingdom, containing monuments spanning over 3,000 years of continuous use from around 3100 BCE onward. The site is administered by the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities and remains an active archaeological zone where new discoveries continue to be made.
