Pettorano sul Gizio is a small municipality in the province of L'Aquila, Abruzzo, central Italy, situated at approximately 800 metres above sea level on a limestone ridge above the Gizio river in the Peligna Valley. It borders the Majella National Park and lies roughly 15 kilometres southeast of Sulmona. The village is recognized as one of the historic borghi of inland Abruzzo, with documented settlement and fortification dating to the Norman period.
