Seltun Hot Springs is located in southwestern Iceland, near the town of GrindavĂk on the Reykjanes Peninsula. Seltun is part of the KrĂ˝suvĂk geothermal system on Iceland's Reykjanes Peninsula, situated within the UNESCO Reykjanes Geopark approximately 40 kilometers southwest of Reykjavik. The area sits along an active volcanic zone where the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates meet, producing persistent surface geothermal activity including hot springs, fumaroles, and mud pools.
