          Saint-Laurent-sur-Mer is a coastal commune in Normandy, northern France, located along the English Channel.           Saint-Laurent-sur-Mer is a commune in the Calvados department of Normandy, northwestern France, situated on the English Channel coast approximately 20 kilometres northwest of Bayeux. It is internationally recognised as the site overlooking Omaha Beach, one of the five Allied landing zones of Operation Overlord on June 6, 1944, and is home to the Normandy American Cemetery managed by the American Battle Monuments Commission.
