Palomera is a small rural village located in the Serrana de Cuenca comarca, province of Cuenca, within the autonomous community of Castile-La Mancha in central Spain. Situated approximately 12 kilometres northeast of Cuenca city, it falls within the broader highland zone of the Iberian mountain system characterised by eroded limestone plateaus, river gorges, and extensive conifer forest. The area is part of a recognised natural landscape zone adjacent to the Ciudad Encantada natural monument and lies within one of the least light-polluted corridors in interior Spain.
