Aguimes is a municipality in the southeastern region of Gran Canaria, Canary Islands, Spain, situated approximately 25 kilometers south of the island capital Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. Its territory extends from the coastal village of Arinaga inland through the volcanic highland terrain of the Barranco de Guayadeque, one of the most archaeologically significant ravines in the archipelago. The town center is classified as a Historic-Artistic Site and represents one of the best-preserved examples of traditional Canarian urban architecture in the eastern islands.
