          Cairanne is a commune in the Vaucluse department of Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur, France, situated approximately 25 kilometers north of Orange and 50 kilometers north of Avignon. It forms part of the Cotes du Rhone Villages appellation zone and received its own individual AOC designation in 2016, recognizing the distinctive terroir of its clay-limestone plateau vineyards. The village lies within easy reach of Vaison-la-Romaine, Rasteau, Gigondas, and the Dentelles de Montmirail, placing it at the center of one of the most celebrated wine landscapes in the southern Rhone Valley.
