          Epidaurus is an ancient Greek sanctuary located in the Argolid region of the northeastern Peloponnese, approximately 30 kilometres southeast of Nafplio. The site is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is renowned globally for its fourth-century BCE theatre, considered the finest surviving example of ancient Greek theatre architecture. The sanctuary of Asklepios served as one of the most important healing centres of the ancient Mediterranean world.
