          Bovec is a small town in northwestern Slovenia, situated in the Tolmin region near the Julian Alps. The town serves as a gateway to outdoor recreation, featuring the emerald-green Soča River, renowned for fly-fishing and whitewater sports.           Bovec is a municipality and settlement in the Goriška region of northwest Slovenia, situated within the Soča Valley at approximately 450 metres above sea level. It lies within the buffer zone of Triglav National Park and borders Italy to the west via the Predil and Mangart passes.
