Unawatuna is a coastal village and bay located approximately 6 kilometers south of Galle, in the Southern Province of Sri Lanka. It sits along the Indian Ocean shoreline and is part of the broader Galle District, which contains the UNESCO-listed Galle Fort. The bay's reef system and sheltered geography have made it one of the most visited beach destinations on the island's southwestern littoral.
