Pianella is a hill municipality in the Pescara province of Abruzzo, central Italy, situated at approximately 350 meters above sea level on a ridge above the Pescara River valley. The town lies roughly 20 kilometers west of Pescara and forms part of a broader cluster of medieval hill settlements characteristic of inland Abruzzo. Its geographic position between the Adriatic coastal plain and the Apennine interior makes it a representative example of the region's transitional landscape and agricultural heritage.
